The person behind the name

Founder of Ask Solar Mike

Independent Utah solar and battery business.

Experience starts at home

A homeowner’s perspective

My own solar and battery experience informs the questions I ask.

Start with clarity

Explore first. Talk when you’re ready.

Useful tools, then a conversation about your home.

Your next step, in one place

What would you like help with?

Pick the question on your mind. Each path takes you to an existing Ask Solar Mike resource.

Experience that starts at home

I was a solar
homeowner first.

The experience behind the questions.

I bought solar for my own home before offering it to other homeowners, then added batteries. When neighbors posted about losing power, my lights and appliances kept working.

That experience shapes how I talk about backup. The first question isn’t just how many batteries to buy. It’s what you want to keep doing when the grid goes down—and what your particular home needs to support it.

How I approach your home

Start with your life.
Then plan the system.

I founded Ask Solar Mike to help homeowners work through solar and battery decisions. We can explore your usage, priorities and options over Zoom, then coordinate the next steps with an installation partner.

Every home is different. Backup coverage and duration depend on the system design, stored energy and loads you choose to run.

01 · Your priorities come first.

Start with your household and the routines you want to protect.

02 · Understand the assumptions.

Know what the proposal includes, what remains unresolved and what written terms apply.

03 · Get useful answers early.

Explore the tools before deciding whether a conversation is your next step.

How we work together

A conversation.
A clearer set of decisions.

You bring your home and your questions. I help you make sense of the options and work toward a household-specific proposal.
