Tesla builds the whole chain. Powerwall 3 has the solar inverter inside it. The Gateway, the app and the Wall Connector are designed to work as one system, under one manufacturer's warranties. When the grid drops, there is no question about which brand's box was supposed to react.

- The city does not publish solar, net metering or interconnection terms on its power page.
- We confirm the city's requirements with the city office and get approval before a system is designed or turned on.
- Enterprise City Power reviews the application and must approve the system before it operates. We confirm the current terms with the utility before we design.
- The Rocky Mountain Power Wattsmart battery incentive does not apply to Enterprise City Power customers.

- Solar connects under Rocky Mountain Power's net billing program (Schedule 137). Power you export earns a published credit rate that is lower than the retail rate, which is why battery sizing matters.
- The Wattsmart Battery program pays a $2,000 enrollment incentive for a single battery of 10 kW or more. Powerwall 3 at 11.5 kW qualifies. It carries a four-year commitment. Source ↗
- After enrollment the program also pays a yearly bill credit: $15 per kW in years 2 to 4 (capped at $100 a year) and $50 per kW from year 5 (capped at $250 a year). Rocky Mountain Power manages the battery as part of the grid and does not discharge it below a 10% reserve. Leaving before four years means repaying a prorated share of the incentive.
- The battery must be new and submitted with the customer generation application, which is how we file it. A battery paired with solar charges from the solar; a Time of Use rate is only required for a battery with no solar.
- Rocky Mountain Power reviews the interconnection application and must approve the system before it operates.

Who provides electricity in Enterprise, Utah?
It depends on your address. Homes in Enterprise are served by Enterprise City Power or Rocky Mountain Power. Which one serves you depends on your address, so we confirm it on your bill before we design anything.
Does the Rocky Mountain Power Wattsmart battery rebate apply in Enterprise?
Only if Rocky Mountain Power serves your address. Homes on Enterprise City Power are not eligible. The 30% instant rebate through the Tesla pre-paid PPA program is not tied to your utility.
Is my Enterprise home on city power or Rocky Mountain Power?
Homes inside the city are on Enterprise City power. Rocky Mountain Power serves rural customers in the surrounding Enterprise valley, and it has used wildfire safety shutoffs on those lines, including June 2025. Ask Solar Mike checks which utility serves your address first, because the rules and the battery incentive differ.
Can a Tesla Powerwall 3 run a well pump or air conditioner?
Often, yes, and it is decided by the nameplate, not a guess. Powerwall 3 delivers 11.5 kW of continuous power and is rated for 185 LRA motor starting. Ask Solar Mike reads the nameplate and confirms the design at site verification.
How many Powerwalls does an Enterprise home need?
It depends on what you keep running and for how long. Each Powerwall 3 stores 13.5 kWh. Essentials such as heat, refrigeration, lights and internet often land in the one-to-two range. Air conditioning, a shop or EV charging move it higher. The planner on this page gives a preliminary range.
I have 400A service. Does that change the design?
Yes. Ask Solar Mike designs for 200A and 400A service panels. A 400A home is an engineered gateway decision. Whether you get whole-home or essential-load backup is confirmed at site verification.
Who issues the building permit for solar in Enterprise?
Enterprise City. Ask Solar Mike handles design, contracting, permitting coordination and project management.
What happens at year 6 of the pre-paid PPA?
